Film #109: VALLEY OF THE ZOMBIES
Valley of the Zombies
3 out of 5 stars
A perfectly harmless thriller from 1946 which, oddly enough, features neither a valley OR a zombie. Instead, we get a crazed mortician who, due to vaguely described illness, must have human blood. The story is fairly straightforward, but the film does have some fun characters and very snappy dialog. There’s virtually no blood and very few chills, but the villain of the piece is creepy and the actor portrays the role with gusto. A short (runtime is about 56 minutes), but enjoyable little flick which is safe enough for youngsters and those who don’t particularly like horror. Very dated, but still a fun little romp.
