Film #163: aka FOOTPRINTS ON THE MOON
Le Orme (aka Footprints On The Moon)
2 out of 5 stars
From writer/director Luigi Bazzoni (THE FIRST CORD), this “Who Am I” mystery plays out slowly and the ending is one you kind of see coming, but… Florinda Bolkan (Fulci’s DON’T TORTURE A DUCKLING & A LIZARD IN A WOMAN’S SKIN and the nunsploitation classic FLAVIA THE HERETIC) does a decent enough job considering she pretty much carries the film. It all plays out like a less house-bound version of Roman Polanski’s REPULSION. Klaus Kinski shows up for like a minute and a half. Blink and you’ll miss him. In the end, the plot is both too obvious and too convoluted for its own good. Warning: Don’t believe people when they tell you this is a giallo… it is NOT.
