Film #204: FDR: AMERICAN BADASS
FDR: American Badass
1 out of 5 stars
Remember how mind-numbingly awful you thought ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER was going to be? Yeah, well… FDR: AMERICAN BADASS is easily that bad… if not a whole lot more. Luckily, no one here – and I mean NOBODY – is taking anything seriously with this film. The humor is low-brow and brimming with sexual innuendo, but it’s ok because the actors (the names of which are pretty amazing: Barry Bostwick, Lin Shaye, Bruce McGill, Ray Wise, Kevin Sorbo, William Mapother, to name but a few) all know they are at an All-You-Can-Eat-Scenery-Chewing-Competition and are relishing the opportunity. The could very well be the stupidest (and I mean that in a good way… sorta) film of all time. It’s a little bit AIRPLANE… a little bit SCARY MOVIE. Perfect for those “let’s get drunk and make fun of a stupid movie” nights. FDR: AMERICAN BADASS is a gloriously stupid good time.
