Film #219: LIFE TASTES GOOD
Life Tastes Good
2 out of 5 stars
Low budget pseudo-film noir from award-winning playwright notable for a screen appearance by Julia Nickson-Soulwho was the attractive Asian chick from RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART 2 and now looks REALLY old) and the still smoking’ Tamlyn Tomita. The story sort of meanders along with some good character studies shown along the way. Performances are all good, but it’s the script that lacks focus and ultimately goes nowhere. Still… given the production’s budget, Gotanda manages to make a nice looking end product. I just wish the overall story would have been better.
