Film #195: DARK HOUSE
1 out of 5 stars
Jeffrey Combs heads up this fiasco that relies far too much on clichés and CG. The story is silly and the suspension of disbelieve is like power-lifting. The acting is exactly what you’d expect ('teens' mostly running and screaming) and the direction & story randomly steal moments from every franchise known to man. By far, the worst of this series' Fangoria Frightfest I’ve seen so far (and most of those have been no picnic). Some of the make-ups are interesting, but they’re simply not enough to warrant the rental.
